"I am waterfalled out"

Ok so I am turning brown to match my little Filipina sister…however while I may be darker I am also more red. My forehead glows like a red beacon while my ears are radiating heat as I sit here. Damn SPF 50 doesn’t do shit!

Ah well, still didn’t spoil our day. We drove the Hana Highway which basically takes you around the whole flippin island of Maui. We started off at 9:00 AM and ended back up at our condo at 6:00 PM. We were on a hunt for waterfalls and found plenty! Of course we had the top down in our jeep…hence the red/orange/magenta face. We drove for hours along a highway that was 1 ½ lanes and wound around and around through the waterfalls and palm trees and along the coast. It was beautiful, however at times there was dirt roads that made the trip a little bumpy. We found a place called 7 pools. It’s a giant waterfall that flows into a pool and that pool flows into another…and on and on. Then it finally lets out into the ocean itself. Very pretty, very cool place to swim or jump from the rocks above if you dare.

We of course saw a bunch of cool things along the drive, including the countless road side stands selling food out in the middle of nowhere. It’s amazing…just when you realize you are hungry and didn’t bring any lunch you turn a corner and there is a stand selling shaved ice, or banana bread, or BBQ ribs…in the middle of the freaking jungle! Insane!
